Apart from Musa, investigation officer Kamruzzaman said they were looking for several other suspects. Counter-terror officer Babul, lauded for his work against militancy operations in Chittagong and Cox's Bazar, was promoted and moved to Police Headquarters in the capital only a few days before his wife was killed. Additional Commissioner Bhattacharya on Wednesday said, “Plaintiffs Babul and his father-in-law have not contacted us since the incident. But he (Babul) says nothing regarding the case.”No police officials, however, made any clear statement on whether Babul was on the list of suspects.
