The full-grown zebras were found in a large shed owned by Nur Hossain Tutu in Bagachra around 11pm on Tuesday, said Humayun Kabir, chief of Bagachra Police Investigation Centre. A local resident spotted them after a zebra died in the shed, said Sub-Inspector Murad Hossain of DB police. The market value of the zebras will be no less than Tk 10 million, police estimated. Acting on a tip-off, a DB patrol team raided the cattle shed and rescued the zebras. It is believed that the zebras were covered in those boxes when they were brought in.”“All the zebras will be handed over to the forest department,” said Additional Superintendent of Police Salauddin Sikder.
