BUKIT MERTAJAM: Police rescued three Indonesian women, believed to be human trafficking victims, from a factory in Taman Machang Bubok on Monday. It is understood that police received a tip-off where several workers were said to be locked up in the factory. Seberang Prai Tengah police chief Assistant Commissioner Nik Ros Azhan Nik Abdul Hamid said the team found three Indonesian women, aged between 21 and 25, in the factory's toilet. Police also found a piece of paper on which one of the victims had stated that she wanted to escape. Two men and two women, aged between 21 and 66, including the factory supervisor and the factory owner's mother were detained during the raid.
