Kasem Zarzar, who has one leg, had his adapted bike stolen in Dunedin. A specialist bike gifted to a Syrian refugee who had a leg amputated, has been recovered by police. The red electric bicycle, valued at $3500, was stolen from Allenby Ave, in the Dunedin suburb of Pine Hill, on Tuesday during school hours. The bike, which was purchased for Kasem Zarzar from fundraising efforts, was locked. Police confirmed they recovered the bike on Wednesday night, and Stuff understands was it recovered from a property near the 12-year-old's home.
