Angela Blackmoore, 21, was 10 weeks pregnant when she was stabbed 39 times in her home in the east Christchurch suburb of Wainoni on August 17, 1995. Angela Blackmoore had been in a relationship with Laurie Anderson for less than a year when she was murdered. At the time of the murder, Angela was not long out of a volatile 18-month marriage with William Blackmoore.
