KUCHING: Sarawak police are well-prepared for the 13th World Islamic Economic Forum, which will be held for three days here beginning tomorrow. State Police Commissioner Datuk Amer Awal said two helicopters from the police air wing have been conducting air surveillance since this morning. “Our air surveillance starts in the morning, depending on weather conditions, until 6pm. The security team, said Amer, included men from federal police headquarters in Bukit Aman, Federal Reserve Unit (FRU), General Operations Force, air wing and marine police. “I’m confident that we have sufficient manpower to ensure the safety and security of everyone,” he said.
