Police raid Khalwale’s home

By BENSON AMADALAMore by this AuthorPolice have raided the home of former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale in search for materials they allege would be used to disrupt Thursday election. The officers led by Mr Bernstein Shari, the Kakamega Central criminal investigations boss went to the politician’s home in Malinya, Ikolomani, armed with a search warrant. Mr Shari said they have information that Mr Khalwale, who unsuccessfully contested for governorship in the August election, has mobilised youth to interfere with polling programmes on Thursday. They allege the tyres are to be given to the youth to light bonfires to disrupt the elections. But Mr Khalwale’s lawyers Evans Getanda and Innocent Ondiek demanded verification of the warrant.
