The 16-year-old girl had just started sex work when she was strangled and found in a dumpster in a Murrary Street parking lot in 1990. Ottawa police said they plan to push forward on the unsolved homicides by rotating the cases through different investigators. Kosmack and Lawson both struggled with addiction and sometimes worked in the sex trade, court heard during the trial. Relatives told CBC News that she worked in the sex trade and had disappeared from her home in Vanier.
