Two Mombasa MCAs are on the police radar over their alleged links with criminal gangs in the county. Police suspect they have been facilitating operations of "Wakali Kwanza" and "Wajukuu wa Bibi" criminal gangs in Kisauni and Likoni. The report alleges that the two buy the drugs from known drug barons then use local youths to supply the drugs. Officers privy to the investigations said the MCAs once stormed Inuka and Likoni police stations to demand the release of gang members and drugs peddlers who had been arrested. An officer said while some of his colleagues support the war against drugs, others are curtailing the same by colluding with drug barons, traffickers and peddlers.
