After completion of the investigation, CID Inspector Probir Kumar Ghosh, also the investigation officer of the case, pressed the charges with the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s (CMM) court on Thursday. On August 1, the Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested Mou from the capital’s Mohammadpur area in Dhaka on charges of blackmailing people with objectionable photos. Later, the narcotics case was filed over drugs and liquor recovered from her residence. Mou, while being taken into police custody, claimed to journalists that there were no drugs at her house and that she had been framed.
