The authority said it received a notification from a district in the North Island, alleging a police officer had sent unsolicited, explicit images of his genitals to several female associates on a social media app. “A lot of people have experienced being sent unsolicited material that is sexual or violent in nature, and it’s becoming more prevalent,” he said. “If someone is harassing you by constantly sending you unsolicited nudes, you can contact Netsafe for free and confidential advice.
