A senior police officer was Saturday evening killed in a road accident along Kakamega-Kisumu highway. The incident involved a collision between two vehicles at Isikhu river, resulting in the untimely death of Inspector Alexandra Leshan from Khayega police station. Unfortunately, Inspector Leshan lost his life on the spot, while his fellow colleagues accompanying him sustained serious injuries, according to the police. Due to the impact, the driver of the government Prado car sustained slight injuries on his right hand and complained of chest pain. The victims were rushed to Kakamega County General hospital where Leshan was pronounced dead on arrival.
