Police are appealing for sightings of Jason Michael Johns, 36, an American tourist, who has gone missing in the Marlborough area. Johns' whereabouts are unknown but he is believed to have been at Waikawa Marina in Picton on Saturday evening. Marlborough Port Security found his backpack, sleeping bag, clothing and passport at the Waikawa Marina at about 1am on Sunday. CCTV footage from the marina was reviewed but police and it appears the items were left there at around 10pm on Saturday.
