Police lay three new 'Boss' chargesThong Lor police yesterday did a U-turn in the 2012 hit-and-run case involving Red Bull scion Vorayuth "Boss" Yoovidhya and applied for a new warrant against him on three charges, citing the recent discovery of new evidence. A source told the Bangkok Post the Criminal Court later approved the warrant on charges of reckless driving causing death, failing to stop to help the victim or to immediately notify the police, plus using a Type 2 drug (cocaine). Police cited new evidence provided by several experts and a lab test which found cocaine in Mr Vorayuth's system after he crashed his Ferrari into the motorcycle ridden by Pol Snr Sgt Maj Wichian Klanprasert, killing him. Prosecutors will decide whether to pursue the new charges.
