By THOMAS P. CALDWELLLACONIA DAILY SUNPLYMOUTH — Police are asking for help in identifying a man who has been going from door to door, saying he needs to check on smoke alarms. The man, whose image was caught on a surveillance video, is described as being a heavy-set white male in his mid-30s to early 40s, standing between 5’8” and 5’10” with short, dark hair and a goatee. He was wearing a dark hat, hooded sweatshirt, jeans and hiking boots, and may have been driving a tan Cadillac Escalade. Police ask anyone with information that could help them identify the man to call the police department at 603-536-1626.
