Police are investigating after a pedestrian died in east Auckland on Tuesday night. The death occurred at 11.10pm at Ti Rakau Drive, Pakuranga, and a Serious Crash Unit attended the scene. Stuff understands the crash occurred at the intersection between Gossamer Drive and Ti Rakau Drive. “You get the odd accident there, but the road is fairly quiet at nighttime,” he told Stuff. “This is a very tragic accident.”In December last year, a motorcyclist was killed following an accident at the intersection of Ti Rakau Drive, Dannemora Drive and Chapel Road.
