Police are investigating after a 44-year-old man was found dead at a property in a small South Canterbury town last night. Emergency services were called to an address on Belt St, Waimate, at 7.30pm, where the man was found dead, police said. Police were conducting a scene examination and a post mortem examination would take place today or tomorrow.
