Police are investigating a suspicious death at one of Halifax’s emergency shelters. On Sunday just after 10 a.m., Halifax Regional Police said emergency personnel responded to the Metro Turning Point men’s shelter at 2170 Barrington Street after a report of a unresponsive man. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and his death is being treated as suspicious at this time, a release said. A Halifax police forensic identification van was still at the scene just before 7 p.m. Sunday. Investigators of the Integrated Criminal Investigative Division and the Forensic Identification Section are in the early stages of the investigation, police said.
