Police have identified the man shot dead in the hallway of a central Oshawa apartment building Wednesday. Durham police found Darius Thorne, 18, in the building on Quebec St., at Simcoe St. S. at around 1:30 p.m. after they were called for reports of gunshots. Thorne was rushed to hospital, but later died from his injuries. Police say they believe the incident was not random.
