One man is dead after a shooting that took place around 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the area of Eglinton Ave. E. and Mason Rd., Toronto police say. Malique Ellis, a 21-year-old Toronto man, was shot multiple times in the third floor hallway of an apartment building and later died from his injuries. Hank Idsinga told reporters that police believe the incident was targeted, and that approximately a dozen shots were fired. The homicide unit continues to investigate. An earlier shooting in a Scarborough parking lot sent another man to hospital in life-threatening condition early Sunday morning.
