A 29-year-old from Peel Region is dead and another man is in hospital following a shooting in an industrial area of Vaughan this weekend, police say. Officers found Oshaine Channer’s body on Sunday morning at a building on Freshway Drive, which runs under Highway 407 between Jane and Keele Streets. Laura Nicolle said the shooting in Vaughan could have occurred during or after an overnight party. She told reporters that video surveillance is a priority for investigators, who are still trying to piece the shooting together. “It takes time to comb through the footage, because right now we don’t have a timeline for when this shooting took place,” Nicolle said.
