Police have launched a search for a 63-year-old man who ran away from a hospital isolation unit four days after being admitted with Covid-19. The ward staff at Queen Elizabeth Hospital chased the patient after they spotted him walking away from his ward at 5:00pm, but failed. The ward staff immediately informed the hospital security, the follow-up search in the hospital compound did not locate the patient," the spokesman of the Hospital said. He was last seen wearing hospital patient clothes, navy blue jacket and sport shoes with a surgical mask. People are urged to contact the Police or call the hospital hotline at 3506 8944 if they know the whereabouts of the patient.
