Police get involved as more peanut butter found smeared in Toronto playground

Police are investigating another report of peanut butter smeared across playground equipment in a Toronto park — the fifth such recent incident. “It is the only report of any peanut butter, anywhere in the city, at any park, on file at the Toronto Police,” said Jenifferjit Sidhu, a Toronto Police media relations officer. “When we got there, it was already cleaned up.”Sidhu said City of Toronto staff cleaned up the mess, then advised police. Related“We weren’t able to obtain any forensics to determine if it actually is peanut butter, and investigate it further, but what we do have is just a report now on file,” Sidhu said. She said the peanut butter, an estimated three jars’ worth, “was just everywhere.”Matthew Cutler, a spokesman for Toronto’s Parks, Forestry and Recreation, said the city has also responded to reports of peanut butter found in Carleton Park, Perth Square and Hillcrest Park.
