The pre-announced program of a mass rally by Amir of Islami Andolan and Charmonai Pir Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal has come to a standstill due to police obstruction while heading towards the Election Commission. The leaders and activists of the party started gathering at the north gate of Baitul Mukarram in the capital from 9am on Wednesday. Later, the procession faced police barricades at Shanti Nagar. The procession led by Muhammad Rezaul Karim ended at the barricade. Later, the party held a short rally there.
