A bdnews24.com correspondent reported from the spot that tear-gas canister were lobbed when the protesters tried to move past the police barricade. Tear-gas canisters were lobbed at a procession, which was heading towards the Prime Minister’s Office, at the capital’s Shahbagh area. The march, which started from the National Press Club around 11:30am, was stopped by law enforcers after it reached the Rupashi Bangla Hotel intersection around 12:15pm. Police have detained at least two from the demonstration. More to follow
