Sunamganj police detained Masuk Ali, 38, hailing from Teghoria area in Sunamganj town, from his in-law's house in Singchapair union under Chhatak upazila, in the early hours of Sunday. "Masuk will be handed over to Moulvibazar police." On Saturday, Ghori Md Wasim Hasnat, a final-year student at SAU's Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering Faculty, was killed on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway near the Sherpur Muktijoddha Chattar area in Moulvibazar Sadar upazila, when he fell under the wheels of an Udar Paribahan bus after getting pushed off by the bus helper Masuk Ali. Police later impounded the bus from Begumpur area in Sylhet’s Osmaningar upazila.
