Anti-government protesters called for a singing protest at 7.30 pm today in Sha Tin New Town Plaza. The protest began before the scheduled time, at around 7 pm, tens of protesters have gathered at the mall and sang the song "Glory to Hong Kong" -- the Hong Kong protest anthem -- and chanted slogans, including "Glory to Hong Kong, revolution of our times" and "Five demands, and not one less." Police have used orange tape to cordon sections of the mall, and pepper spray was used at least once during the clearing operation. Some people in the mall have been pepper-sprayed, including RTHK photographer who was working at the scene.
