The policeman identified as Nayeemul Huq, 38, a native of Comilla district, died at around 11: 30 am at Chittagong General Hospital on Friday. He was working for the Bandar Zone Traffic Department of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP). CMP Additional Deputy Commissioner (PR) Abu Bakar Siddique said the policeman was admitted to the hospital with respiratory complications on Thursday and died undergoing treatment at the hospital at 11:30 am. “His samples have been sent for a Covid-19 test,” said the police official.
