The Wa police are tight-lipped over the matter when reached for their comments. The suspect, who was picked up on Wednesday, is in police detention awaiting appearance before court. It comes on the heels of claims by the Ghana Police service societal and family pressures are to blame for the increasing number of personnel engaging in lawlessness including fraud and robbery. The Director of Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service Superintendent Cephas Arthur said the intense pressure and demands from family and society on policemen is to blame.
