Police commissioner Andrew Coster announced this morning that the police pursuit policy would be reviewed next year and a Fleeing Driver Framework would be introduced. Police’s pursuit policy changed in 2020 following a series of high-profile deaths. Social policy that continues to kill at the high rate the police chase policy did has to be challenged and modified. Right now however the public are frightened by youth ram raiders, so Police have to say they have changed their chase policy.
