NewsPolice in Gandara have busted a racket which helped smuggle narcotics into prisons. According to police, the smuggling was done by persons who hid the drugs in their rectums. The racket came to light after police searched an arrested suspect who was behaving suspiciously inside a holding cell at the Gandara Police Station. He had been arrested after failing to present himself to courts for possession of drugs. Police are now questioning the 33-year-old suspect to establish whether he had smuggled drugs into the prison this way on previous occasions, and whether he has any accomplices.
