Metropolitan Police issued orders to clear two events "causing significant disruption" at Tooting Bec Common and Clapham Common. According to reports on social media, there are up to 1,000 people gathered at the football pitches on the northern part of Tooting Bec Common. In a statement, Met Police said: "Due to significant disruption being caused by two ongoing unlicensed music events in Clapham Common and Tooting Bec Common dispersal zones have been put in place. Dozens of officers were also injured in violent scenes at a block party in Brixton, south London, on Wednesday evening. Under current social distancing guidelines, people from separate households should not come within two metres of each other.
