Police told the organisers to turn off the music and revellers to leave the party by 9pm. Last weekend, Cleveland Police shut down an "illegal rave" attended by more than 200 people on Teesside. Bricks and other missiles were launched at officers who tried to break up the illegal rave in White City. Several parties in the capital were shut down by police in June, including an illegal rave on a Brixton estate where 22 officers were injured. Meanwhile, revellers were urged to remember the importance of social distancing this weekend a week after pubs and bars reopened.
