PUTRAJAYA: Police are believed to be recording a statement from former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad over a probe on possible criminal breach of trust and cheating during Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) foreign exchange losses in the 1990s. A team of policemen were seen entering the Perdana Leadership Foundation headquarters here at 1.34pm. Two police Proton Preve vehicles arrived at the building and four policemen were seen entering the premises. Prior to that, four lawyers were seen walking into the premises, led by Dr Mahathir's lawyer Mohamed Haniff Khatri Abdulla. Scores of reporters have been waiting outside the premises since noon as they were denied entry.
