New Delhi, May 28 (PTI) Delhi Police have arrested a murder convict who was declared a proclaimed offender after jumping parole granted to him by the Delhi High Court in 2008. Police have arrested 41-year-old Shambhu, a Delhi resident, who did not return to jail after expiry of parole to serve the remaining imprisonment awarded in the murder case. Shambhu, a school dropout, was previously involved in 20 cases of Excise Act, Arms Act and murder, at Ashok Vihar police station. Shambhu and his brother were convicted in the murder case in 2004 and awarded life imprisonment by a trial court here. In 2008, Shambhu was grant parole by the High Court for one month but after completion of the parole, he did not report back and jumped the relief.
