Police arrested two female drug dealers with 50 yaba pills during a drive in Hakimpur upazila in Dinajpur. Anguri Begum,38, wife of Ataur Hossain, and Chan Banu Begum, 45, wife of Alam Hossain, both residents of the upazila’s Moddho Basudevpur, were arrested on Friday. “Their cohort Fancy Begum, 36, wife of Abu Bakar Katani, is on the run,” said Md Abdus Sabur, officer-in-charge of Hakimpur police station. “The trio had long been involved in selling drugs in the area,” the OC told the Dhaka Tribune, adding that they were looking for Fancy. The two women were sent to jail Saturday after a case was filed against them.
