Chidiebube Okeoma, OwerriThe Imo State Police Command has arrested three undergraduates of the Imo State University, Owerri, for allegedly taking part in a cult clash on Sunday. Some members of the Aiye and Bagger confraternities had clashed on Sunday at Delight Hostel in front of university’s main gate. But the command Public Relations Officer, SP Andrew Enwerem, in a statement on Monday said three undergraduate cult members had been arrested by the command in connection with the clash. “The command has initiated a strategic process to restore permanent peace to the campus and arrest the fleeing suspects,” he added. Meanwhile, a group under the auspices of the Imo Peace Movement, has urged the new Commissioner of Police, Dasuki Galadanchi, to follow the footsteps of his predecessor, Chris Ezike, in combating cultism.
