Police arrest man despite fleeing to another state

GEORGE TOWN: A 38- year-old man thought he could escape the law when he killed a man by hitting him with a helmet recently before fleeing from the state. However, information spread by the police to all states led to the arrest of the man who was hiding in his friend's house in Cheras, Selangor. On Sept 22, the victim Lim Kok Boon was pounded by two men with helmets at a flat in Kampung Melayu here. Police detained 23-year-old man on Sept 25 and also found the helmets used by the two men to attack Lim. It has now been reclassified under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, which carries a mandatory death sentence.
