Beatrice Police on Tuesday arrested a man after he allegedly threatened to kill someone. Officers found Gritten, with knives on his person, in the residence, along with some children who appeared to be upset or scared. The victim said Gritten started calling the victim names and shoved another person to the ground, then followed the victim to a car, saying he was going to kill himself and others. Officers found Gritten had a domestic protection order to stay away from the residence issued in December, and he was taken to Gage County Jail. He faces charges of domestic protection order violation, third-degree domestic assault and child abuse.
