Police have arrested a couple for allegedly scamming dozens of investors in bitcoins, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Ronald dela Rosa said Tuesday. ADVERTISEMENTDela Rosa said the couple promised the investors huge interests in a short span of time. Roel Obusan said that using their company called NewG, the Ordonio couple promised investors a 30-percent return of investment with pay outs every 15 days. Dela Rosa advised the public not to be enticed with investment schemes that promise huge interest in a short span of time. Bitcoin made headlines last year because of its fast rise from $963 per bitcoin in January last year to nearly $20,000 in December.
