Sohel, a former chief of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal and Swechchhasebak Dal, has over 50 cases against him on different charges, including violence. He was seen in public at a rally in front of the party’s Naya Paltan headquarters on Sept 1. The party has called an urgent press conference at the headquarters after his arrest.
