The Delta State Government has announced that 11 more suspects have been arrested in connection with the sexual assault of women during the recently held Ozoro festival. The state government disclosed in a statement on X on Saturday. The statement partly read, “Police investigations into the disturbing incidents in Oramudu Quarters, Ozoro, have recorded a major breakthrough with the arrest of eleven additional suspects. It added that the police command has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that all those involved are identified and brought to justice. PUNCH earlier reported that the Delta State Police Command has arrested five persons, including the community head and chief organiser of the Ozoro festival, in connection with the alleged sexual assault of women during the annual event in the state.
