Ted Odogwu, KanoThe police in Kano have arrested over 129 suspects following a two-week raid on criminal hideouts in various parts of the city. This was made known by the state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed IIiyasu, during a media briefing in Kano on Friday. Of this number, three persons were arrested for kidnapping at Falgore Forest, while 11 others were arrested for armed robbery. He said detectives from the command also arrested two Automated Teller Machine scammers at the Sharada Quarter. The police boss said over 80 hoodlums, commonly called Yan’dabba, were arrested and various weapons recovered from them during the period under review.
