Police apologise for officer's 'inappropriate' conductDAVID WALKER/Stuff.co.nz The owner of a Christchurch restaurant and nightclub feels a police officer abused his position after the club's bouncers confiscated a customer's ID. They said the officer's actions were "inappropriate" and he had been warned about his conduct. "The officer was advised that his actions were inappropriate and [the police's] expectations regarding staff conduct was discussed with the officer," Mikaera said in a statement. However, the officer at the counter did tell Yazdanpanah about how to make a complaint and gave him a senior officer's business card. Mikaera said police spoke to Yazdanpanah by phone on Wednesday to apologise that no-one made contact with him after his IPCA complaint.
