Police ammunition and equipment were found lying in the middle of a major London road today, after falling off the roof of an armed response car. Officers were called out after items were spotted on the carriageway of the eastbound A13 near Plaistow, Newham, just after 10am this morning. Parts of the road remain closed after police discovered 'a quantity of ammunition and ancillary items' on the road.
