PETALING JAYA: The “405” rally, supposedly held to defend the “sovereignty of Islam” will be allowed to go on, says the police. Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Fahmi Visuvanathan Abdullah said the organisers had complied with the regulations under the Peaceful Assembly Act. “It will be held between 2pm and 5pm, and the participants are expected to march from Masjid Jamek to the Sogo shopping complex,” he said. Rally director Kamaruzaman Mohamad called on participants to adhere to the regulations, describing it as “a peaceful rally”. “Everyone must follow the orders of their respective team leaders and come early to perform the Zohor prayers at Masjid Jamek before the march to Sogo.
