STOCKHOLM — A man stabbed and wounded a police officer in the neck in central Stockholm on Thursday near a demonstration against the deportation of unaccompanied minors to Afghanistan, a police spokesman said. The officer was attacked about 10:40 a.m. as he was exiting the Medborgarplatsen subway station on the island of Sodermalm, said Officer Lars Bystrom of the Stockholm police. A second officer came to his aid and arrested the suspect, Officer Bystrom said. “The attacker came in from behind.”The motive of the attacker, who was not immediately identified, was not immediately clear.
