The Nigeria Police says it is making progress in the investigation of the assault on senator elect, Gadiya Akwashiki. Akwashiki, who won his election to represent Nasarawa North senatorial district in Nasarawa State, was assaulted by unknown hoodlums on Saturday in Maitama, Abuja causing him bodily harm. The Police, however, is not ready to give details of the progress made until the conclusion of the investigations. Akwashiki, who is still the Deputy Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly was seen in series of nude videos that have gone viral on social media. The spokesman of the Police Command in the Federal Capital Territory, Ajunguri Manzah, said that details of the incident will be made public when investigations are concluded.
