Members of environmental educator, Squawk Squad, which is offering schools a new programme from Antarctica. An expedition to Antarctica is set to become part of the school week for Nelson school students. Victory Primary in Nelson, Takaka Primary, and Nelson Intermediate were among schools around New Zealand to have signed up to the weekly online polar adventure experience, offered by the environmental educator, Squawk Squad. Action that children could take would be similar to "calls to action" in lesson plans that Squawk Squad had devised since it started three years ago. Teacher Dylan Turnbull from Victory Primary School used the social enterprise's environmental lesson plans in his Year 4 - 6 class on issues including native birds last year.
