Pokémon Go is hereA lot of tech-savvy Filipinos found themselves into a stupor Saturday morning as Pokémon Go is finally made available in the country. The augmented reality game has, at long last, reached the Philippines. The game’s virtual currency, Pokecoins, can cost you a minimum of P47 for 100 Pokecoins, to a maximum of P4,700 for 14,500 Pokecoins. It is also widely credited for popularizing location-based and augmented reality gaming, as well as for promoting physical activity. With the popular augmented reality game now in Manila, it looks like more Filipinos will be seen roaming the streets, parks, and other public spaces while gazing at their smartphones.
